Prison Project - Holiday Gift Package
A note was recently received from a death row inmate at Central California Women's Facility:
Once again, I am in awe of the unbelievable gesture...to assemble so many volunteers for the ladies here. It is amazing how many strangers are ready and willing to undertake joyfully the task of spending the necessary hours to make sure not one of the women in prison is forgotten...Thank you very much for another year of joy.
With the challenge of filling nearly 4000 holiday gift bags, the collection process has become a year-round activity. Please continue to save travel/sample size toiletries: soap, shampoo, conditioner, hand lotion, tissue, and toothpaste. We also need unused greeting cards, toothbrusher (regular adult size), and pencils (wood, full size, eraser type). A container for donations is located in the hallway near the church's Cypress Way entrance. This project is sponsored by our Socal Action Team in collaboration with the Prison's Inmate Family Council.
